Portal Hunter
A downloadable game for Linux
BSU Game Dev project 2.
On your quest to discover all of the hidden portals, a strange platform you found in a cave teleports you to an ancient lava temple. To your surprise, the portal there is inactive. You must find a way to activate it in order to escape!
Spoiler alert!:
The video reveals how to activate the portal (in order to demo this game for grading purposes), so don't watch before playing if you want to solve the puzzles by yourself.
Controls:
Movement: A, S, D, W / left gamepad joystick
Camera: mouse movement (after clicking screen) / right gamepad joystick
Jump: automatic at edges while running or for manual use spacebar / bottom gamepad button
Interact: left click or x / left gamepad button
Attack (after obtaining item): right click / right gamepad trigger

This was great. Definitely a lot of work went into this. Love the invisible platforms. What a great idea. I also loved the sticky feet area to increase the step height to the final part. A lot of really cool mechanics in this as well.
Great use of additional assets too and would make a great puzzle game if you built out additional levels. Great job!
A small note, the timeline animations behaved differently in the editor vs the packaged game. In the editor, the chest containing the key and the door both traveled through their full range of motion. I spent a significant amount of time on the level design, which left me little time for debugging the logic, so I decided to leave the animations the way they are in order to turn the game in on time. If I add any future updates to the game, I'll be sure to address this.
